Authorized use

Access to a private family archive is limited to invited or otherwise authorized users. You may not attempt to access another person's archive or bypass archive permissions.

Your contributions

You are responsible for material you contribute. You should only upload or share material that you have the right or permission to preserve or share with the family archive.

Family information

Family-history information may contain mistakes, conflicting recollections or disputed relationships. Family Archive Lab provides tools for confirmation, correction and owner review but does not guarantee that every contributed statement is historically accurate.

Account security

Protect access to your email inbox, remembered devices, and any passkeys you use. Sign out or switch visitors on shared devices. Knowing the family phrase or selecting a name does not prove someone is a specific relative and does not grant owner privileges.

Removal of content

Archive owners may moderate, correct or remove content from their family archive. Users may also submit appropriate privacy or deletion requests.

Service availability

Family Archive Lab is under active development. Features may change and temporary interruptions may occur. Reasonable efforts are made to preserve archive material, but uninterrupted service is not guaranteed.
